Overview
As a SOC 2 Type 2 platform, Bureau Works takes data security and privacy as the most serious of matters.
AI feelings aside, the most important element about our integration with GPT models is that you choose whether you want to activate it or not.
If you do not activate this option, our API service specifically designed to share data with GPT models will stay off, and all AI-enabled features will not be available for use. On the flip side, your data will stay safe and sound in self-encrypted buckets within the Bureau Works AWS server clusters. For more information about our data security standards, click here.
What happens when you activate it?
As an Account Admin, when you activate the "Enable AI Translation/Review" button, you are allowing Bureau Works to share your data via API with GPT models hosted by OpenAI and Microsoft Azure.
Each of them has their own data usage and privacy policies, that can be found here:
Microsoft Azure Privacy Policy
The common denominators of these policies are that:
1) Your data is not used for model retraining purposes
2) Your data shared with the models is destroyed after 30 days
3) Your data is encrypted at rest
How about the security of my data when it comes to transmission?
Bureau Works has a separate API service that sends your data in encrypted form to Open AI and Microsoft Azure GPT models. Data is shared using TLS encryption standards.
The minimum acceptable TLS standard in use by the company is TLS v1.2.
All Bureau Works public web properties, applicable infrastructure components, and applications using SSL/TLS, IPSEC, and SSH to facilitate the encryption of data in transit over open, public networks, must have certificates signed by a known, trusted provider.
