This article will provide you with an overview of how to navigate within a BWX Translation/Localization project.
Clicking on any given project will take you to the project overview screen:
Let's take it bit by bit and from top to bottom:
At the very top just beneath the search bar, you will find a number following this pattern: B-XXX-YYYYY. This is your BWX internal project code.
Just beneath the internal project code, you will see your Project Reference name. In this example "Test SOW". The project reference name is particularly useful for you to name projects following your own codes and naming conventions.
Tip: Being smart and consistent about project reference names will save you a ton of time down the road. This is especially the case for heavy users.
Beneath the project reference you will the Tabs available within a Project which are:
Overview - the high-level overview of any given BWX project
Key Dates - the main dates and/or milestones attributed to any particular project
Files & Workflows - a list of all files and workflows included in any given project
Logfiles - the Project X-ray report that will show you in detail how the project content is able to leverage your Translation Memory
Tasks - A list of all the tasks associated with a given project in BWX
Costs - A breakdown of all costs associated with a given project in BWX
Translation Memory - The TMs associated with that project
Beneath the overview tab, you will see three boxes which from left to right are your:
- Project Cost - the total project cost
- Total Work Units - the total amount of WUs in a given project
- and Progress - weighted % completion of any given project
Just beneath these, you will see:
- Organizational Unit
- Project Manager
- Contact
- Tags
and finally a list of all your WUs with the percentage complete of each.
