This article will go over and explain each tool included in the Editor Menu in detail.
The Bureau Works Editor Menu brings a series of features to help with translation and review work. You will find it inside the editor, and you can expand it by clicking on the "Show/Hide" menu button.
Menu structure consists of:

1. Editor's Comments
You can add comments to segments in the Bureau Works Editor by simply clicking on the segment to open the comment box:

The comment will be viewable by all users who have access to the work unit, including assigned vendors, project managers, and account administrators, across all workflows.

You can also reply to existing comments
To enter a comment in private mode, enable it in the comment box:
Through Private comments, any comments made will only be visible to the user who created them. This feature does not support replies.
Segments that were commented on will have an indicator icon that allows users to detect the existence of comments without having to open the related tab for each segment only to see if there are any observations.
2. Suggestion
The main panel is for the localization process.
Suggestions from the AI, Translation Memory, Machine Translation and Glossary will be available in this tab.
2.1 AI suggestions: If the AI translation is enabled, you'll be able to ask AI to translate the segment for you.
2.2 Translation Memory suggestions: If the selected segment already have any TM matches, they will be displayed, taking into account the threshold setting.
2.3 Machine Translation suggestion: If the MT is enabled, it's translation suggestion will be displayed.
2.4 Glossary: If any word/term of the selected segment is saved in the Glossary, it will be displayed.
2.5 CAT Info: It is a secondary tab that contains more details about the content that originated from the TM or from Glossaries. See below more details.

3. Instructions
After creating the project, you can input instructions for the vendor. This tab also offers a dedicated area for Reference files.
This feature was designed to enable PMs to include project-specific instructions that vendors can easily access and view within the editor.
- To include an instruction, simply access the
Communication
tab and input the instruction you wish to communicate with the vendor:
This field allows:

- Headings
- Bold, Italic and Strikethrough
- Line
- Blockquote
- Unordered and Ordered Lists
- Tasks
- Indent and Outdent
- Tables, images and links
- Inline code and insert code blocks
The instructions will be duplicated in both the Tasks Details tab and the Instructions tab within the Bureau Works Editor.
⚠️ The instructions will only become visible once the project is approved, as this action initiates the creation of tasks. However, you have the flexibility to add instructions to the project either before or after its approval.
- To view the instructions from the Tasks tab, simply click on the tab and then click on"Details":

You can access the instructions within the Bureau Works Editor by clicking on the
Instructions
tab. When you open the task for the first time, a visual alert icon will appear to notify you of the presence of instructions:.
In this tab, you will also be able to access any reference file attached. You can learn more on how to attach a reference file here.
4. QA Check Tool
Out QA Check is a utility designed to assist linguists in detecting potential inconsistencies within their translations. It enables linguists to promptly pinpoint key areas for enhancement and view suggested fixes provided by the Bureau Works Editor.
1. Filters: It is possible to personalize the filters of the QA Check in order to improve visualization.
2. Run QA: Executes the QA check with the selected filters.
3. Runned at: Displays the last time the QA was executed. This can help users keep track of their validations.
4. Warnings: Displays the warnings found in the document.
5. Pagination: If the QA Check encounters a great number of issues, they will be displayed in pages.
6. Results per page: It is possible to personalize the number of results displayed per page.

5. Search in TM
You can use this feature to search for any segment within the Translation Memory linked to the project.
There are two types of search mechanisms: Full Text Search and Fuzzy Search.
1. Full Text Search: You can select the language (source or target), define the Match Type (Contains or Expression) and determine how many results will be displayed per result page.
This search will provide results for all segments containing the word or expression you're seeking.
2. Fuzzy Search: Select the match threshold (49–100%). Following the set-up of this percentage, the platform will retrieve the results of segments containing the searched fragment or sentence, provided that the content meets or exceeds the established threshold for matching percentage.
6. Glossary
You can use this option to search any specific terminology in the Glossary associated with the project.
It is possible to select the Match Type between Contains, Starts with, ends with and Exact match.
7. Filters
You can filter segments by target and source language. For example, to filter a segment by source language, fill in with a part of the desired segment, mark the option Source and press enter or click on Search
.
7.1. Metadata Filters
By clicking on Metadata Filters, it is possible to view more filter options:
1. Not confirmed to filter unconfirmed segments
2. Not Locked to filter by not locked segments
3. Not a Repetition to filter by unique segments
4. No TM Match to filter by segments that do not have Translation Memory suggestions
5. No MT to filter by segments without Machine Translation suggestions
6. No Warnings to filter by segments without Warnings
7. Empty Target to filter by empty translation field
8. Segments With Comments to filter by segments with comments
9. Confirmed to filter by confirmed segments
10. Locked to filter by Locked segments
11. Repetition to filter by repeated segments
12. TM Match to filter by segments with Translation Memory suggestions
13. MT to filter by segments with Machine Translation suggestions
14. Warnings to filter by segments with warnings
15. Hide non-translatables to view only translatable segments in the filter results
7.2. Find and Replace translated segments
You can also find a word or phrase and replace it using the Find and Replace translated segments functionality.
Fill in the Target segment text field with the word or phrase you want to find and press enter or click on Search
.
Fill in the Replace text field with the desired text. Note that you can replace the word in only one segment or change it in all segments that appear in the search list.
➡️ If you want to replace only the current segment, click on Replace
➡️ If you choose to replace all segments, click on Replace all
There are two search customization options:
- Case-sensitive: If this option is enabled, the search will distinguish between uppercase and lowercase letters and between accent marks.
- Match whole word: If enabled, the search will be restricted to the search word/expression. If disabled, the search will also return similar/derived words. E.g., when searching for the word "list" with this option disabled, the return may bring words like "list", "lists", "listing", etc.
8. Translation Change
This tab will display any translations and/or changes made in the previous steps in the workflow. You can filter these changes by workflow.
9. Document
Within this tab, you'll discover document-related details, including the client's name, project name and number, the project's owner (creator), and the associated translation memories.
It is possible to customize the Editor to make it more comfortable according to your preferences. The structure for the Menu tab is as follows:
1. Enable AI Review: The AI review will be executed.
2. Enable AI Translation: The AI Translation will be executed in the selected segment.
3. Enable Spellcheck: The spellcheck will be executed in the selected segment.
4. Enable Translation Smells: The translation Smells will be executed in the selected segment.
5. Translation Smells Language: Define the Translation Smells Language: Default (English), Source language or Target language.
6. View mode: Define if the target segments will be displayed below the source (Inline) or by it's side (Columns).
7. Show segment key: Displays the origin key of the segments.
8. Show Whitespaces: Enable a visual indication of whitespaces as blue dots.
9. Reactive Segment: Enable some shortcuts to be executed and visually placed immediately after command.
10. Expanded Tags: Display tags in their expanded form.
11. Night Mode: Shift the editor page into dark mode, changing it's colour scheme.
12. Follow OS Theme Preferences: The Editor's color scheme will be the same as defined by the OS.
13. Font Settings: Adjusts font size, horizontal and vertical spacing.
10. Review
In this tab, you can locate a PDF document that serves as a guide for reviewing the translated document.
This file is supplied by the client and is uploaded directly within the project's settings. You can learn more on how to attach a Review file here.
After selecting the file, the Bureau Works Editor will refresh and the PDF file will be displayed.
11. Expand/reduce
You can expand or reduce the Editor's Menu area by clicking on the +/- icons.
